Troop 261 Motto "Yes I Will":
When a scout or adult says "Yes I Will", it means
they are going above and beyond the Scout Oath
and Law. It means they can be counted on to do
their part to make the troop successful. When given
a task, they will complete that task, or will ask for
help.

A Scout is clean. A Scout keeps his body and mind fit. He chooses the company of those who live by high standards. He helps keep his home and community clean. You can’t avoid getting dirty when you work and play. But when the game is over or the job is done, that kind of dirt washes off with soap and water.

There’s another kind of dirt, though, that can’t be scrubbed away. It is the kind that shows up in fowl language and harmful thoughts and actions. Swear words and dirty stories are often used as weapons to ridicule other people and hurt their feelings. The same is true of racial slurs and jokes that make fun of ethnic groups of people with physical or mental limitations.

A Scout knows there is no kindness or honor in such tasteless behavior. He avoids it in his own words and deeds.

Tomahawk 2009
Camping @ Fred C Anderson Fri, Mar 2 - Mar 4, 2012
A great opportunity to get some merit badges and have some fun climbing the bluffs. Located just five miles northeast of Stillwater, Minnesota is Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp. The camp boasts 260 acres along the St. Croix River. Year-round camping, 17 winterized cabins, campsites, and a one-mile trail to a backpacking campsite make this property one of the most active camps. A trading post with snacks, souvenirs, craft items, and Scouting literature is available upon request and ranger\'s availability. The Andersen-Weekes Tree Farm is a 60-acre site of gently rolling hills, open fields and woodlands perfect for camporees, district events and large groups.

Friends of Scouting Update - Amelia Damlo
We are sooooo close. Troop stands at $3203, which is $997 away from the base goal of $4200. An adult volunteer has pledged $100 if another 6 people contribute $100/each I will have pamphlets with me on June 6th. The purposes of meeting this goal is that the district covers merit badges/rank adancement costs Any amount is appreciated. Fyi - Pack 261 was only $100 over goal; not $700 as we had been told so that are not able to 'share' with us. Make the check out to Northernstar Council and in the memo put T261 FOS
Need your 'Long' health form/physicial - Nancy Halverson
You will need the 'Long' health form/physicial completed before Tomahawk. This is mandatory for Tomahawk. www.northernstarbsa.org/forms/camping/LongTermMedicalRecord.pdf If your son has had a physcical in the the last year, just get the form to the MD for sign off (this usually takes about 2 weeks). Another option is Minute Clinic, they were advertising camp physicals for $39. These need to get turned into Nancy Halverson.
